Oh Friday, we meet again. It feels like so long since we last met, could we please not let that happen again?!

The Friday feels are real today after a heck of a week over at the Scott residence. My job has been extremely demanding this week (though I’m grateful to be busy and challenged – see my instagram), which has left me little time to keep up with the other things that are important in my life – mainly working out, making dinners, and having any ME time (which is crucial for my happiness). I’m type A and I really like having a schedule and planning things, so when my week gets thrown off it makes me feel completely out of control and I can’t seem to find balance anywhere. So weekend – you are a very welcome friend.

This is my last weekend full of plans before a month of nothing on the weekends. And while I feel blessed to be busy with friends and family I am also so excited to not have any plans and be a little more spontaneous on the weekends. Am I contradicting myself? Looking forward to unplanned things? Maybe its the rebel in me 🙂

For this weekend line-up I’ve got dinner in tonight with my hubs and blog work since I’ve got a full weekend that will not give me time to work on it and some exciting content coming to you next week. Sounds like a raging Friday night right? We like to keep it crazy over here. Maybe we will even watch a movie. Home Depot, maybe Bed Bath n Beyond – I dont know, I don’t know if we’ll have enough time” (Will Ferrell – Old School look it up).

Tomorrow we are going to enjoy some time by the water and get some sunshine on my face (with SPF and lets be honest I’ll probably be wearing a hat) which I’m hoping will bring new life to me. I love a little sun, it really brightens my day (yup punny and cheesy all in one). Then tomorrow night we have a birthday party for one of my sweet and beautiful friends which I’m definitely looking forward to – she is one of those friends that is always a good time.

Sunday we have friends coming in town that I am very excited to host. We haven’t seen them since their wedding in January and we’ve never hosted them before – so I’ll be whipping up a homemade dinner and making sure they feel right at home. Anyone else LOVE hosting company? Still deciding on dinner though the cuisine is decided – they are the MANGIARELLI’S and Italian is a non-negotiable.

Do you have this pants silhouette? If not, you need it. They are extremely versatile, from crop tops to corporate chic, I’m pretty sure everyone needs them. This crop is an old Forever 21 but such a good fun print – palm is still in style years later. Crop tops work really well with these pants because of the high waist but really lots of other things would too – again, you need them. And this bag – SO CHEAP. And so playful, just add that to your tab.

What are your weekend plans? Are you buying these pants? Did you watch my Snapchat this week and start whitening your teeth?! (If you missed this trick you need it so comment below and I’ll drop some knowledge on you).

XO,

JESS

Hey! Love the blog! I don’t have Snapchat as yet. What’s your secret for teeth whitening?

So sorry for the delay! Thank you for your sweet words! Glad you enjoy the blog 🙂 My secret to easy and cheap teeth whitening is coconut oil and turmeric mixed together! It creates a paste you can use on your teeth after your regular brushing. I do it at night after I’ve brushed my teeth. Use the about the same amount you would for toothpaste and brush your teeth like normal then rinse. After a few days I noticed a GREAT difference! And it doesn’t bother my teeth like some whitening strips and other methods have. Just make sure to mix it in something that you don’t mind it staining since turmeric will stain (I use a small plastic container) and make sure to rinse out your sink and any area it gets on because again it will stain! Let me know if you try it?! I’d love to hear how it works for you! XO
