Feeling Rosey

Feeling Rosey

Friyay! We made it another week. Proud of you babes.

Do you have fun weekend plans? My weekend is pretty stacked and I’m already anxious about it. I don’t know what it is about weekend commitments but I am officially all those memes about making plans and then hating myself for making plans. I think it’s mostly because I am SO busy during the week between my full-time gig, working out, making healthful meals and working on the blog that I just want time to do nothing during the weekend. And by nothing I mean catch up on blog work, workout, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine state with my hubs and family.

Tonight the husband and I are going to our grad school Alumni Weekend event in Winter Park. We both got our MBA at Rollins and we like to stay involved with the school as much as possible since we are so thankful for our time there and everything it has provided us with.

But big social event. EEEK.

I get so much unreasonable anxiety about social events, especially ones where I’m don’t know a lot of people there. What do I talk about? Am I over/under dressed? Does everyone else here know each other but ME?! Thank goodness Ian is going with me, he is such a people person and is way more extroverted than myself so it’s a great balance.

I’ve realized I’m an extroverted introvert. I can handle myself (seemingly) fine in social situations but I don’t fully enjoy it as I’m too aware of myself and these types of things drain me. I need time to myself for approximately three months to recover.

So it’s only appropriate that tomorrow we have another social event. COME ON. Thankfully I’m less anxious about that one. We are volunteering with my coworkers and since that’s with the people I already know and something to help others, I’m totally down. But count me out for anything else this weekend because holy moly can’t a girl just read a book in a cozy corner of her apartment and that be totally normal and fun?! Just kidding, kinda.

So……… about this outfit. Husband took these shots and I really wish there was a camera following us around to document because it was pretty hilarious. It was mostly him telling me to smile and be less awkward and me telling him to shut it and just make sure the camera was focused. Can you feel the love in these photos?

I’m kinda loving rose right now, I think I’ve exclusively purchased that color in tops lately. There’s something girly and romantic about the color without being straight up pink. I dig it. I adore the bows on this top too, such a good detail.

I officially can’t stop wearing these jeans so get ready for them to be the link for most of my upcoming outfit posts. They are high waist so they work really well with this top and are such a good shape all around. Levi’s are definitely making a come back in my life.

Now what to wear tonight…..it’s officially the season of white dresses right? Is that too much for an alumni cocktail event? Will I look too bridal? Follow me on snapchat and Instagram today and help me decide!

Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on any remedies for my social anxiety/weekend commitment phobia. Am I being difficult or are you feeling me?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. Until Monday…..

XO,

JESS
