This post will be short. Shorter than normal, and I’m doing my best to not completely FREAK OUT about it. Because I’m a perfectionist, and not giving you my best EVERY SINGLE POST gives me all the anxiety in the world. Which is insane right? But it’s the truth.

So what do I mean by practicing grace? Alright here we go (in a short and sweet way).

I am my own worst critic. In every way. So in that mentality, I shouldn’t even be posting this because it’s not thought through and it’s not an amazing topic with amazing pictures. But you know what? I think it’s a message we all need to hear and, as I’ve said before, mental health is JUST as important as your physical health (and contributes to it), and I’m ALL ABOUT that health and happiness journey ya’ll.

I’m posting this because I’m practicing grace with myself. Allowing myself to have a break every once in a while (whether merited or not) because it is ok if I am NOT perfect. It’s ok if I don’t get EVERYTHING done in a day. It will all be ok. Because as I’m writing this I have a headache, I’m very tired, and I have had a not so good day that I’m in a wonderful headspace to take the time to write a post that I’m NOT feeling. And I’m telling myself it’s ok. And I’m hoping you can practice grace on me and pardon me for not knocking this one out of the park.

So today, what I want you to get out of this and ultimately DO, is this –

  • Practice grace with yourself because you are trying your best and sometimes you are going to have bad days and guess what? Life goes on and you are still awesome.
  • Practice grace with others because as one of my FAVORITE quotes says “be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle”. Big or small, we all have things we are working through, and it’s important to show everyone around us a little grace to get through it.

Do this today, because it’s important and it will give your soul a little extra rest it may need. Health and happiness friends.
